A Lifetime Around Racing

The Foundation
Why This Shop Exists
Racing is part of Paul's DNA. His father, Bryan, wrenched on drag cars, and Paul was his younger right-hand man—handing him tools before he could drive. Bryan remains an important part of the company today, carrying that same hands-on racing foundation into the shop.
In 2009, Paul started his career as a firefighter. By 2012, he added a second career—engine building—to his resume. He spent over 15 years learning the craft under Mike Thompson, a well-respected racer and engine builder who taught him the ins and outs of machining and assembling engines.
After nearly two decades of building engines for other shops, the time came to open his own. Paul Ferreira Racing Engines exists so every customer who walks through the door works directly with Paul. No salespeople. No middlemen. Just a conversation between racers.

The Standard
What Makes Paul Ferreira Different?
Nothing is outsourced—and every customer works directly with Paul. No salespeople. No middlemen.
Everything Machined In-House
Every machining operation is completed inside the shop. No work is farmed out to other facilities.
Personally Assembled
Paul personally assembles every engine. There is no production line. One builder. One standard.
Measured, Not Assumed
Every critical clearance is inspected and verified before an engine moves to the next stage of assembly.
Built for Reliability
Race-winning performance means nothing without consistency and durability across every build.

The Philosophy
Precision Is In
The Details.
Engine building is more than horsepower. Every engine built here is assembled for long-term reliability—not just peak power on a belt-sheet.
- Every measurement matters.
- Every clearance matters.
- Every spring is checked.
- Every component is inspected.
Every engine is built for long-term reliability—not just peak power.
“If something is going to fail, it's usually valvetrain related. That's why every spring is measured, documented and tracked throughout its service life.”
— Paul Ferreira
